Cons: only one works at a time

Reviews & Ratings for Analog/Digital Splitter, DVI-I (M) to HDDB15 (F)/DVI-I (F)
Using this on a Power Mac G4 or G5, the device works like a charm. Unfortunately, it will not do what I wanted. Plugging into the DVI-I on a Mac, splits out the RGB and the DVI signal. I thought this would allow you to run an RGB monitor and a DVI monitor simultaneously. That is what I needed. I really wasn't thinking. The Mac sends a resolution, a sync signal, etc to that port. You can use the RGB or the DVI and expect it to work perfectly. Just not at the same time. Which ever monitor you load first, that is the only monitor the Mac sees. This device allows you to plug both monitors in and leave them that way, but you can only use one at a time.
