Back up a lifetime’s worth of memories with the all-new Time Capsule, a wireless hard drive that works seamlessly with Time Machine in Mac OS X Leopard. It’s also a full-featured 802.11n Wi-Fi base station. Connect your DSL or cable modem to Time Capsule and quickly create a new wireless network or extend an existing AirPort-based network using the easy-to-use AirPort Utility for Mac and PC. Time Capsule uses next-generation 802.11n wireless technology to deliver up to five times the performance and up to twice the range of 802.11g wireless networks. Time Capsule works flawlessly with Apple TV, iPhone, iPod touch, and all your other Wi-Fi devices that use the 802.11a/b/g and 802.11n draft 2.0 wireless standards.
Time Capsule also works great as a wireless hard drive whether you have a Mac or PC. It sets up in a snap, giving you a networked hard drive you can use for storing and sharing any kinds of files. Print documents, photos, and more from any room in the home or office to a central printer connected to Time Capsule via USB. Protect yourself with the built-in firewall and industry-standard encryption technologies including WPA/WPA2 and 128-bit WEP.

Pros: unbelievably large storage capacity., wireless and ultra fast Cons: could be made more 'customer friendly'.
Reviews & Ratings for Time Capsule - 1TB If you know what you're doing, this is a great peripheral. And it is much more versatile than it lets on. I actually use it as a wireless storage unit for my media files. It holds all my movies and music (about 30 days worth each) and makes them available via wifi throughout my house. But you need to manually connect iTunes to it (that's the one downside).

Pros: great wireless backup solution Cons: runs hot but that's normal
Reviews & Ratings for Time Capsule - 1TB As an independent Mac consultant, I've recommended this product to several clients and it's been a great experience. Not only does the product work well with Apple’s Time Capsule software (part of Leopard 10.5.x and is required), but it allows the end user to feel secure, knowing that the Macs in their household are being backed up regularly and effectively. It also works well within an extended network utilizing Apple AirPort Expresses in larger homes with or without Ethernet wiring.
(Be sure to install the latest Leopard system updates for the best setup and backup experience. Please run permissions repair before installing any system updates)

Time Capsule 1TB

Reviews & Ratings for Time Capsule - 1TB The Time capsule is a great idea but still has bugs. Typical airport base station setup. The airport Utility software has steadily improved and has made the setup of my home network (with 5 airport expresses to extend my range) a relative snap for some one with above average computer networking experience.
My first Time capsule failed to sync with the IMac which was right next to it over a airport connection. The Time capsule over heated and the Fan refused to stop. The fan continued for the next five days, even after allowing it to rest over night and reseting the Time capsule. This is a known problem and has no work around (per Apple's Support Forum), except to get a new one.
