Pros: great performance, ddr3 Cons: constant driver crashes, little/no support
Reviews & Ratings for ATI Radeon HD 2600XT 512MB GDDR3 AGP Graphics Card This is actually a PCI-E card ported to an AGP board by Visiontek, and not officially sanctioned by ATI/AMD (ie no support from them).
The card itself runs great for me performance-wise, it can handle the highest game settings I can throw at it and not even burp. It does get extremely hot however, to the point that I had to remove the side of my case to keep enough air flow to it.
The drivers however are absolutely horrible. I run Vista Business and almost never have an entire session without a driver crash (never in game though, only in Windows and certain video playbacks). I've read of people with XP having similar problems. I've had it 4 or 5 months and there is still no fix. Very irritating.
It would be an outstanding card if they could put out a solid set of drivers for it. I highly suggest reading Visiontek forums before buying this card.
