Make sure you get the latest MacPro tower. Or an earlier version of MacPro. Or something in between. I bought mine in early 2008. This upgrade won't work on my version. Apparently each Mac Pro machine has a different PCI controller or chip or something and the GeForce8800 is only compatible with one of them. What happened to Mac plug and play? Now you have to read the fine print even if you have a late model Mac. All I got was an annoying whine from this card and a lesson to do more homework before purchasing any Mac hardware in the future.
