Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One 150-1447 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/160GB/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/Sapphire Blue/6-Cell/XPH I have had my Aspire One since late November 2008, to replace an aging desktop computer to meet new mobility needs. The Aspire has met and exceeded my expectations. Among the features that I appreciated most are the XP operating syatem, battery life, size-weight and value. Only additions that I made are an external DVD/CD RW drive and wireless mouse. For anyone looking to lighten the load of the usual laptop, the Acer Aspire One is for you.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One 150-1447 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/160GB/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/Sapphire Blue/6-Cell/XPH I'm hooked! Thought I would mind the small display and small keyboard, but I can open it up and connect to the internet anywhere, and it's so light it can go with me everywhere.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One 150-1447 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/160GB/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/Sapphire Blue/6-Cell/XPH The Acer Aspire One (XP, 8.9", 1GB, 160GB) I just bought is performing well. I took it on 8 flights in 8 days and found, what I hoped, that carrying it at 2.2 pounds was easy. I bought a bag for it and a mini mouse. It is not even viewed as bag by airlines. And the 6 hour battery is great. This is mobility.
It was the best on-line price, but I saw it locally for $20 less a week later. And ASUS now, 3 weeks later, sells the same configuration complete with bag and mouse for $280 which is far less than I paid in total
Still I am happy. The only issues are a battery that hybernated while I used it with one hour left, and I am not sure what to do for office productivity as the MS Office trial will probably cost big bucks to activate. I will probably go with Google Apps and Open Office. And the speakers are poor and I might add a plug in which reduces convenience.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One 150-1447 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/160GB/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/Sapphire Blue/6-Cell/XPH I had seen the Acer Aspire One in stores and was impressed by both the size and price. I thought it would be perfect for me for school. Once I got mine, (PC Connection had very fast shipping by the way,) I was very impressed by the speed. I was not expecting the performance for the price. Just to see if it would handle it i actually installed Guild Wars, MMORPG that I play. To my great surprise Acer Aspire One handled it very well with almost no video lag at all. And I thought that playing on such a small screen would be a problem, but the screen is so clear that some of the graphics actually even looked better than on my 15" screen.
I have been using it for a few weeks now, I am used to the keyboard, which actually does not really take too long to get used to. And because everything is so close, once your fingers get used to the keys, and not having to reach for anything, is actually very nice.
The only difficulty I had with it at all was that is did not want to load initially. Acer support had me unplug it and remove the battery. Hold the power button for at least 30 sec. (I did it for a min.) Plug it in, and start it. Then once Windows loads put the battery back in. I had no other trouble with it after that.
There is also a D2D recovery, which will reinstall Windows with factory settings if you hold down <Alt>+<F10> during start up.
Overall the ACER Aspire One is an excellent investment.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One 150-1447 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/160GB/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/Sapphire Blue/6-Cell/XPH I ordered this item to act as a laptop replacement for grad school. What appealed to me was the long battery life, the portability, and the generally positive reviews.
The first one I had was dead on arrival. It would do everything fine during setup, but once I started to do anything resembling normal operations the screen would invert all of its colors. After a couple hours with Acer tech support we concluded it was dead.
Second one has worked as advertised and just hums along. Reasonably quiet, very good battery life (longest I've gotten is 6 hours), does it's intended tasks very well. Will not fool anybody into thinking it's a gaming rig, but for day to day utility computing, this thing is outstanding.
Big props to PC Connection in getting me a replacement unit extremely quickly and for making the return process a breeze.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One 150-1447 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/160GB/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/Sapphire Blue/6-Cell/XPH This is a nice compact computer with nice features and easy enough to use. The problem is, as apparently with many Acer laptops, are prone to overheating and completely locking up requiring a hard reboot to start them up again. This usually occurs after just 1 to 2 hours of use, or in my case when I'm reading eBooks in PDF format. Other than that, this would be a great laptop. If I can figure out how this problem can be resolved, I will submit a more positive review in the future. As for right now, I can't give it a high recommendation.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One 150-1447 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/160GB/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/Sapphire Blue/6-Cell/XPH The Aspire One is well positioned, outiftted, and priced among the other on the shelf today. When onc really looks at what you get for for about $300, the others just shrink away.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One 150-1447 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/160GB/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/Sapphire Blue/6-Cell/XPH This is a nice little Notebook, the keyboard is almost full size and I have big hands and did not have any trouble using it. The scree is nice and bright and the quality of the image is great. There are a few things to accomodate like using full screen while sufing the net to use more screen area. Video quality is ok, a little jumpy at the beginning but once it gets loaded it plays smoohtly. After reading other reviews I did not expext a performer but it manages to have a couple of programs running at the same time with no problems. I definately reccommend it. For the fan noise...gp the forums and get a little program tocontrols the fan.

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One 150-1447 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/160GB/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/Sapphire Blue/6-Cell/XPH I love my new ACER. I use it just about everyday. I received mine on December 8th and have only needed to recharge it 4 times since then. The battery works great!!! I highly recommend this netbook. I don't miss the CD/DVD as I have a full size laptop and PC should I require one. I also have a portable CD/DVD if all else fails and I absolutely need to use it, which has not been the case. Everything I need is on my ACER and it runs like a champ!!! Quick to boot and I'm able to pick up wireless internet just about everywhere. I love this little PC. The only problem I'm having is the microphone for the Webcam, but that's not a major draw back unless you do a lot with your webcam, I don't use it that often to make a difference and if I absolutely need a mic I can use the one I have attached to my PC, not a big deal. I highly recommend the Aspire One 150-1447, you'll love the flexibilty you get with it.

I walk in to my client with my laptop, and a pad of paper! I boot it up and ready to sell! It never gives me a problem and just love everything it is able to do that my regular lap top did, for a lot less $$$. It is well worth every penny!

Reviews & Ratings for Acer Aspire One 150-1447 Atom N270 1.6GHz/1GB/160GB/bg/NIC/WC/8.9" WSVGA/Sapphire Blue/6-Cell/XPH This netbook is great for normal use applications such as internet and email (it comes preloaded with Office 2K7 trial so it can at least handle that). Not too good for downloading music or video, although it does have a built-in SD slot that is easy to swap out. I also use this at work to replace expensive hand-held devices -- lower cost, easier to maintain, larger screen. Well worth the price.
