MFC-8860DN 5-in-1 MFC

The MFC-8860DN is a full-featured fax and laser printer that can print at up to 1200 x 1200 dpi. It is also a legal-size digital copier and a 19200 x 19200 dpi (interpolated) resolution color flatbed scanner. You can copy at speed up to 30cpm, or reduce/enlarge from 25 to 400%. The MFC-8860DN offers PC Fax capability, allowing you to send and receive faxes directly from your PC. This printer works well, but frustrates me because, in what appears to be the industry standard, it takes many clicks, on every print job, to save toner. I can't figure out how to change the default settings to toner saver mode, duplex mode, 300 dpi resolution. Clearly, the manufacturer wants you to burn through as much toner as possible because it's how they make money. I have been searching the brother site to no avail. Perhaps if someone has figured this out they can post about it to help others.
So, print quality and performance are great, but it's very frustrating to use because of all that clicking everytime I want to print in draft quality, which is what I want to do 99% of the time.

PRODUCT A LITTLE NOISY WHEN WORKING BUT NOT TO THE POINT OF NOT BUYING IT. WE HAD AN IDENTICAL ONE BUT AT OVER 100,000 COPIES WE NEEDED A BACKUP SO WE GOT THE SAME PRINTER AGAIN...ITS A LITTLE WORKHORSE. A GREAT MULTI FUNCTIONAL PRINTER FOR THE PRICE. THE DELIVERY TIME WAS QUICK AND THE COMMUNICATION WAS EFFICIENT FROM PC CONNECTION.
