I decided to upgrade home monitors and for the price and good reliable picture, they can not be beat. No problems with computer recognizing and for the most part auto configure for the best resolution whether using an expensive video card, or just shared video from the VGA port.
The only improvement I would make would be to add a DVI input. Beyond that a good high quality monitor.

The driver software installed easily, and worked flawlessly with my tractor of an old computer. Since this replaced another monitor, only the power cable was different and needed to be replaced, so total installation time was but a few minutes. The image is crisp, with true color appearance. The best part: a really good price!

You don't need the CD that came with it, I did perfectly fine without it. The price is pretty decent too, especially for a Viewsonic. The picture quality is not the best, but is acceptable for daily task and occasional video viewing.

I am having a little difficulty because I cannot set the resolution to the recommended level on XP Version 5.1.2600 Service Pack 3 which causes the view to be slightly skewed. However, it is such an improvement over my 15" monitor, I am willing to live with it. The ordering process was easy and delivery, standard shipping, was very fast. I had my purchase in 2 days!

No dead pictures, even illumination, snappy performance. I edit videos and am completely satisfied with the performance. The controls are tricky, so read the manual during setup; after the first time, the only control I am likely to use is the power switch. PC Connection's ability to take an order from online to UPS astonishes me; I had the tracking number in my email in less than two hours after placing the order at 5 PM.
