EXATAPE 18c Premium Cleaning Cartridge 8mm - 309258
The EXATAPE 18c Premium 8mm Cleaning Cartridge reduces particle buildup, enhancing tape drive performance and ensuring data integrity. An "Exabyte Proprietary" formulation removes debris and environmental stain, and is the cleaning method for 8mm tape drives. It is compatible with most Exabyte 8mm tape drives (the Mammoth series has its own cleaning cartridge, Item #44489). Simply insert the Exabyte Premium Cleaning Cartridge into your tape drive and wait a few minutes until the cleaning cycle is complete. The tape drive automatically ejects the cartridge when it's done. Under normal conditions, use the cartridge after 30 hours of tape motion to minimize polymer buildup on the recording heads and loose particles in the tape path. It's good for about 20 cleanings.
