The NSS 4000 and 6000 series of robust, easy-to-use storage systems have been built specifically for the small business. They feature aggressive data protection coupled with expansion capabilities. Each NSS offers a small business the ability to select the storage configuration that best addresses its model - with management features that help provide data integrity, file protection, security, and reliability.
Small Business Network Storage Systems chassis do not include hard drives, so the end user can choose the capacity that best addresses its business needs. Installation is quick and easy with no installation CD required. Cisco Small Business does not place proprietary code or drivers on the hard drives, enabling easy "hot swapping" or interchanging of the drives. On-disc file encryption makes highly secure offsite backup, archiving, and data migration possible for small businesses with stringent requirements for data integrity, such as healthcare, law offices, or accounting firms. Additional options like Journaling, Hot Spares, RAID Set Failure Handling, and Redundant Power Supply Units (RPSU) provide an added level of superior data integrity.
The NSS6100 includes four (4) 7200 RPM 250 GB hard drives for a total unformatted capactiy of 1.0 TB.
