The AXIS 5400+ is capable of maximizing the full potential of your printer (more than 1MB/s), allowing multiple computers to share the same printer. Now, all Axis print servers can be configured, managed and administered remotely with Axis ThinWizard. Take advantage of this Web-based device management tool utilizing JAVA technology. The AXIS 5400+ is based on Axis' new ETRAX 100 chip, the new platform for all Axis networking products.

Incredibly reliable network management support is the hallmark of Axis. Print servers will automatically receive an IP address when connected to the network and when the printer needs assistance, the server will notify you by email. Plus, Safe Flash loading of firmware updates over the web is possible.

The AXIS 5400+ supports Novell NetWare including NDS and NDPS, more than 20 Unix systems, Windows NT, Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95, Windows 98, LAN Server, OS/2 Warp, LAN Manager and Apple EtherTalk simultaneously. It has a 36-pin Centronics port for printer connection. You don't need a cable to connect the print server to your printer, just plug it directly on to the parallel port!
