Refurb. Catalyst 2950: (24) 10/100 Fast Ethernet ports - WS-C2950-24-RF
- Remote Management over RMON SNMP, SNMP 2
- Warranty: 90 Days
The Catalyst 2950-24 Switch provides (24) RJ-45 ports for 10/100BaseTX auto-negotiating connections. With its trim, 1RU form factor, this unit can be flexibly deployed either on a desktop or else mounted in a wiring closet.
The Catalyst 2950 Series delivers superior LAN/Edge QoS, supporting (2) modes of reclassification. Based on 802.1p standards, mode one honors Class-of-Service (CoS) values ingress points and assigns packets to appropriate queues. In mode two, should untagged frames arrive (i.e. no CoS value), the Catalyst 2950 supports classification based on default CoS values assigned per (ingress) port. Conversely, the Catalyst 2950 supports (4) egress queues, allowing for especially discriminating and granular priority assignment for a diverse range of LAN applications.
Strict configuration of Priority Scheduling enables certain time-sensitive applications (e.g. Voice) to unerringly follow the most expeditious path through the switch fabric. Weighted Round Robin scheduling, another big enhancement, ensures that lower-priority traffic receives suitable attention without compromising your pre-defined priority settings.
The Catalyst 2950 supports LAN multicasting via IGMP Snooping. Cisco's Cluster Management Suite is embedded, Web-based software (GUI) that enables management of up to (16) Catalyst 2950/ 3550-12T/3500 XL/2900 XL, and/or 1900 switches at once, regardless of geographic proximity, using a single IP address.
This refurbished product is only available while supplies last.

Management and Protocol Support: - Switch clustering software upgrade allows network administrators to upgrade the system software of (16) interconnected switches through Cisco's CMS interface or a single CLI command
- SNMP and Telnet interface support for comprehensive in-band management. CLI-based management console provides detailed out-of-band management.
- Manageable via CiscoWorks Windows network mgmt. software on a per-port and per-switch basis (a common management interface among Cisco routers, switches and hubs).
- Embedded RMON software agent supports (4) RMON groups (History; Statistics; Alarms; Events) for enhanced traffic management, monitoring and analysis
- SPAN port monitors traffic of a single port from a single network analyzer or RMON probe
- Auto-configuration eases deployment of switches in the network by automatically configuring multiple switches across a network via a boot server
- DNS provides IP address resolution with user-defined device names
- TFTP reduces the cost of administering software upgrades by downloading from a centralized location
- NTP provides an accurate and consistent time stamp to all switches within the intranet
- Spanning Tree Root Guard (STRG) prevents edge devices not in the network administrator's control from becoming STP root nodes
- Multi-function LEDs per port for: Port Status; Half- / Full-duplex; 10BaseT / 100BaseTX / (1000BaseT), as well as switch-level stat

Internal Power Supply Connector: Auto-ranging internal power supply supports input voltages between 100 - 240 VAC Included AC power cord connects to an AC power outlet
Cisco Redundant Power Supply Connector: Optional Cisco RPS 300 unit uses AC input and supplies DC output to the switch. This 300-watt redundant power system supports up to 6 external network devices and automatically senses when the internal power supply of a connected device fails, providing power to the failed devices one at a time to prevent loss of network traffic. When internal power supply has been brought up or replaced, the RPS 300 automatically stops powering the device. Attach only the Cisco RPS 300 (model# PWR300-AC-RPS-N1) to the RPS receptacle.
