The Polycom Global Management System is an intelligent web-based system management software solution for IT professionals to manage your enterprise-wide video communications network. Global Management System has six major components, including System Management, Global Directory, Software Update, Provisioning, Account Management and Reports. Global Management System now has the ability to manage the iPower products in addition to the ViewStation, ViaVideo, PathNavigator, WebCommander and any third-party video communication products with an embedded web server.

Polycom Global Management System reduces operating and support costs by aggregating all video communication network data. The central management of video communication network data enables you to store video systems in a centralized address book in a global directory. Directory services include features such as Polycom OneDial, E.164 dialing, Polycom endpoint autoregistration and the ability to link with other directories (LDAP & ILS). The Pro-Active system notifies administrators through email, pager or cellular phones using remote alert notification. The Global Management System enables administrators to create individual and group permission levels and access, preserving the integrity of the super user.
