The Accelar 1100 Routing Switch is a stand-alone chassis featuring (16) autosensing 10/100BaseTX (RJ-45) Ethernet ports, two built-in expansion slots for field-installable modules, and a power supply. The Accelar 1100 can be equipped with redundant power and LinkSafe modules and all modules are hot-swappable.

The Accelar 1100 provides numerous networking features including: IP flow filters for application prioritization and distributed access security; an aggregate fowarding capacity of up to 7 million pps; low latency paths for "streaming" applications; and support for remote monitoring (RMON). The unit additionally features robust VLAN and MAC-based VLAN support, IP multicast routing and IGMP snooping, and combined routing and bridging on individual ports.
