The ES3000 Fiber Optic Transceiver connects your Symbol ES3000 Ethernet Switches to your core network switches and routers with high-quality, affordable Gigabit Ethernet speed and the superior transmission quality of fiber optics. This hot-pluggable, easy-to-install Gigabit Ethernet Interface Converter (GBIC) delivers the speed you need to support high-bandwidth applications, such as voice and video. Based on standards, the ES3000 Fiber Optic Transceiver is easy to deploy, integrating easily and seamlessly in your current network environment.

The Small Formfactor Pluggable (SFP) interface delivers true plug-and-play simplicity and a form factor that is half the size of traditional Gigabit Ethernet Interface Converters (GBICs). In addition, the ES 3000 Fiber Optic Transceiver is easy to install and is hot pluggable into ports 25 and 26 on the front face of ES 3000 switches for greater flexibility in system configuration.
