Matrix 3000XR UPS offers advanced, modular power protection for datacenters. Matrix is designed for both downsizing and expanding capabilities. It uses SmartCell XR (Extended Run) cells to get 4 times the power. A basic Matrix unit is made up of an isolation module, and electronics module, and external SmartCell battery packs. Unlike conventional ups designs in which the load is at the mercy of a battery w/ a three year lifespan, Matrix moves the weak link to the isolation unit, the component least likely to fail. The modular Matrix can be swapped-out or repaired on-site by an untrained employee w/o interrupting power to the loads. Applications are multiple file servers; midrange systems including AS400, VAX, and HP; wiring closets and other applications w/ total loads above 2kva. Capacity is 3000VA, or 2250 watts. The runtime at full/half load is app 28/72 minutes, about 4 times of the standard Matrix. $150,000 Lifetime Equipment Protection Policy
