Minicom's DX system uses X-RICC dongles to connect computers or serial devices to the DX Central unit. The connection is made using a using a single standard CAT5 UTP cable. Each X-RICC can be located up to 330 feet away from the DX Central unit. Features include "keep-alive" keyboard/mouse emulation at the server and high security which locks the X-RICC to a specific port of the Central unit.
