This product is covered by Lacie's Unlimited Online Backup Service for one full year. Powered by Carbonite, one of the worldwide leaders in Online Backup, a customer needs to register this product on Lacie's website and then sign up for the Carbonite service. Once the Carbonite software has been installed, customers can use the service for one full year and backup online as much data as they would like with no size limitation. After one year, they can choose to stop the service or continue using Carbonite as paying customers for $49/year.
