The FX40-4MMC 4-port 100BaseFX Switched Ethernet Module with Multimode Fiber SC Connectors is for use with Asante's FX4008 series Modular Chassis.

The FX4008 series are industrial-strength switches that are affordable enough to use for distributing 10/100BaseTX, 100BaseFX or 1000BaseX fiber runs for backbones, data centers and campus connectivity.

The FX4 family consists of the FX4000 and FX4008 switches which are engineered for high performance, low cost fiber backbone distribution and server connection in data centers. Ideal for installation in campus and building-to-building in Education, Industrial Manufacturing, Process Control, Military and Medium Sized Enterprise. Designed for use with Asante FX1000 and FS7000 and other vendors' workgroup and desktop switches, the Fx4000/4008 can also be used for fiber to the desk or industrial logic control device.
For direct connection to Gigabit servers, with the Asante GigaNIX 1000SX or 1000TPC, the FX4008 has Gigabit module options for 1000BaseT, 1000BaseSX and 1000BaseLX.
