HP Serviceguard for Linux Oracle database toolkit (licensed per cluster) - T2376A

This product consists of a source 'rpm' file, which, after installation, will enable a Serviceguard for Linux (SG/Linux) package to provide high availability for an Oracle DataBase Server application. This toolkit supports Oracle 9i and Oracle 10g. It works as a subsystem under SG/Linux core software to provide functions for starting, stopping and monitoring the database services in a cluster environment. This toolkit consists of a set of Linux shell scripts (bash version 2.0 or above) to be launched by the Serviceguard package control script.

Unless otherwise noted, this toolkit runs on ALL servers and ALL Linux distributions supported by Serviceguard for Linux. This version of the Toolkit contains the following enhancements and fixes:

1. Support for single instance database applications for Oracle9i and Oracle10g. The Oracle README file has been modified to specify the configuration supported by this toolkit for the Oracle10g single instance database.

2. Ability to perform maintenance operations without halting the package

3. Fixes and enhancements in response to customer feedback. Please refer to the Release Notes included with the RPM for specifics.
