The ATEN KM0832 CAT5 matrix KVM switch provides a revolutionary way for IT administrators to maximize efficiency while managing mission-crtitical data. Designed for multiple server rooms in large corporations, the switches feature multi-platform support both for computers and consoles.

The KM0832 allows eight users to independently and simultaneously access and control 32 computers directly with different platforms or operating systems. Over 8,000 computers can be connected through a combination of daisy-chaining and cascading. The RJ45 connections and Auto Signal Compensation (ASC) allow signals to travel up to 500 feet away and still maintain video quality. Therefore, consoles can be separated from the computers by a distance of 1,000 feet.

Working with ATEN’s IP access unit (CN5000), the KM0832 provides a flexible solution to meet your demands. You can select various IP and local combinations for your IT structure. 8 consoles and 32 ports in a 1U design, the KM0832 saves expensive real estate in an IT environment. Features also include 3-level password security, a powerful administration tool, mouse driven On-screen Display (OSD), Hot Keys, hot pluggability, lifetime firmware upgrades, “Keep Alive” and autoscan.
