This version of the MFC-8220 is network-ready with the NC-9100H internal ethernet option.

The MFC-8220N is a full-feature fax, an up to 21ppm laser printer, a 600dpi copier and a 300 x 600dpi scanner all rolled into one. The fax machine comes with a 33.6Kbps high speed Super G3 fax modem and 32MB of memory to store up to 600 fax pages. Simple to use, this fax machine has 32 one touch locations, 300 station speed dial locations and dual Access and broadcasting, as well as Caller ID and Distinctive Ring Detection. It's also secure with password controlled access. Also included is PC Fax capability, allowing you to send and receive faxes directly from your PC.

The printer produces 2400 x 600 dpi (HQ1200) prints via PCL6 and BR-Script3 emulations. It also comes with 32MB of memory which can be upgraded to 160MB and both USB 2.0 and parallel interface flexibility. It can even become network ready through an optional Ethernet server.

The legal-size digital copier also copies up to 21ppm. With its 30-page Automatic Document Feeder (ADF), it will provide multi-copying, up to 99 copies, with sorting. PC-free, the copier reduces and enlarges from from 25%-400%.

The color flatbed scanner, with 64 shade gray scale for photo resolution, provides simple one touch operation. With one button you can scan to file, E-mail and operate image or OCR applications .
