The Cisco Catalyst 6503 Firewall Security System is a 5-Gbps firewall system with one open slot that gives customers flexibility to add input/output (I/O) options ranging from 48-port 10/100 to 16-port Gigabit Ethernet or service options. The system provides a turnkey solution that integrates the high-performance 5-Gbps firewall service module with Layer 2/3 functionality and the benefits of the Cisco Catalyst 6503 Switch to enable flexible deployment of integrated security from the wiring closet to the perimeter edge.
