Sony's unobtrusive mini-dome cameras, popular in high-traffic areas such as building entrances, transportation hubs and shopping malls, have upgraded to IP network cameras. Like the analog versions, the SNC-DF70N offers a 0.25-inch Super HAD CCD, producing 480 TV lines of resolution. It comes with a built-in CS mount and a three to eight-mm auto iris vari-focal lens to offer a broad range of viewing options. This camera incorporates a built-in web server and network interface, which enables users to control the cameras and monitor images over a network. It uses both MPEG-4 and JPEG compression formats, allowing for smooth video/audio streaming and high quality still images over a wide range of network bandwidths. To meet a wide range of monitoring needs, the SNC-DF70N features day/night capability in a durable aluminum diecast housing. With an IP-66 rating, it’s ideal for 24-hour surveillance applications.
