This controller is made for the HP Surestore Virtual Array 7100. With two processors, the VA 7100 is fully redundant and can reach sustained transfer speeds of 90MB/s. It supports Double Parity RAID 5, so data is protected even if two disk drives fail simultaneously. This bundle includes 256MB of ECC cache for added data integrity and faster performance. It also includes HP Surestore Command View SDM software and two GBICs.
