    The RTX 400 series uses trayfree bays making installing drives a breeze. Simply open the drive door and slide the drive in. The JBOD RTX enclosures, such as the SJ, NJ, and SV units, bring back and old familiarity to comping, similar to that of when we used floppy disks. This RTX 400 uses SteelVine (multiplied SATA) connectivity, which allows for up to 200+ MB/s, when the software is RAIDed. SteelVine is a term for "port multiplied eSATA". This technology uses processors to multiply (or "mux") four signals into one cable. Standard eSATA cables are used with SteelVine, yet that one cable can access multiple disk drives, with very fast access speeds. The RTX 400-SV accepts both SATA 1 and SATA 2 drives. The many RAID options available with RTX give you the power to choose exactly how safe you want your data to be. The RAID options are on a scrolling menu, so it's easy to choose the RAID level you need.

    This RTX 400 is the 4-bay SteelVine RAID subsystem with 4000GB (4 x 1000GB drives).
