    The Data Express 100 (DE100) is a steel constructed removable drive enclosure for mounting 3.5" form factor, half height(1.6") or low profile(1") SCSI drives into 5.25" half height peripheral bays. All Data Express models feature a front accessible key lock, that secures the removable carrier within the receiving frame.
    The DE100's rugged construction allows for protection of the drive in the even of physcial trauma. With hot swappability the DE100 provides opertational flexibility, allowing drive carries to be removed while the system is powered up. Cru's "soft start" circuitry assures the data integrity by elimnating in-rush current during spin-up and avoiding power arcing during insertion. The DE100 supports SCSI ultra320 interfaces. This DE100 is a complete assembly.
