The Ethernet Routing Switch 8300 (ERS 8300) is a chassis-based LAN switch that provides high-density Ethernet connectivity both at the network edge (Access) and in the core. With up to eight slots available for I/O modules, the ERS 8300 can support up to 400 ports of Gigabit Ethernet or 68 ports of 10 Gigabit Ethernet.

The switch offers industry-leading convergence-friendly features, port density and Network Access Control security capabilities. The ERS 8300 has been designed to support enterprise-class convergence deployments where reliability, performance and security are of paramount importance.
