Vehicle Base for Dolphin Mobile Computer - 9500-MB-12E
The Dolphin Mobile Base is a compact, secure holder for the Dolphin mobile computer (available separately). The rugged, ergonomic design protects the terminal from high vibration environments and is designed to meet the SAE J1455 standard for vibration tolerance.
The front housing enables easy terminal insertion and removal while still giving full access to the keyboard. The unique spring-arm with dual locking levers holds the Dolphin terminal securely in place, stabilizing it to withstand shock-filled environments.
Two mounting options enable you to adapt the Mobile Base to your working environment: a clamp style for in-premise applications and a standard RAM mount for in-transit applications.
Able to receive power from a 12 to 48 Volt DC source, the Mobile Base easily adapts to varied working environments. Combined with the intelligent battery charging system incorporated in Dolphin terminals, the Mobile Base can fully charge the installed battery while the terminal is in use.
RS-232 communication enables you to connect a seated Dolphin terminal and supports 5 Volts out to peripheral devices, including tethered scanners, printers, and wireless wide area network-enabled peripherals such as mobile phones and in-vehicle WAN radios.
The LEDs on the front panel enable quick monitoring. The DOCK LED indicates when the Dolphin terminal is properly seated. The COMM LED displays the status of communication between the seated Dolphin terminal and its host.
