Easy to install, use and maintain, the 3Com OfficeConnect Gigabit VPN Firewall is part of the 3Com family of products specifically designed with business-class features and expertise to meet the networking, security and convergence needs of small businesses. The OfficeConnect Gigabit VPN Firewall can initiate and terminate up to 50 simultaneous VPNs for both site-to-site and user-to-site communication. It supports IP security (IPSec) as well as PPTP and L2TP protocols, giving you flexibility in the choice of VPN communications. Designed to be easy to use for the novice user, yet flexible enough for more complicated configurations, the intuitive graphical Web user interface makes installation and configuration quick and easy. Using powerful stateful packet inspection firewall and intrusion detection, the OfficeConnect Gigabit VPN Firewall prevents unauthorized network access and blocks denial-of-service (Dos) and other common attacks that can cost a business time and money. Keyword and URL filtering enables control of web usage to enforce company policies and minimize exposure. Peer-to-peer application prevention helps businesses avoid the legal liability that can be associated with illegal peer-to-peer file sharing. This firewall features six Gigabit LAN ports and dual WAN Gigabit ports and offers advanced capabilities such as Quality of Service (QoS) and VLAN support. The dual WAN ports support two broadband connections to help ensure minimal business disruptions, providing load-balancing for maximum throughput and efficiency or failover in the event that the primary ISP connection fails.
