The MIL-C6000 Series Gigabit Media Converters convert UTP signals to fiber and extend network distances from 220m in multi-mode up to 70km in single mode. They are ideal for environments where high performance must be balanced with easy implementation, such as interconnecting enterprise networks and campus backbones. You can use the MIL-C6000 series in conjunction with 1000BASE-T switches to upgrade networks to Gigabit in an economical manner. Besides, they are indeed simple to install. The full complement of LEDs includes "link", "receiving" and "transmit" for both the fiber and copper ports, providing complete port status information to simplify installation and trouble-shooting.
