This IBM LTO-4 4Gb Storage Networking Tape Drive Module for the Quantum Scalar i500 Tape Library is field installed. Working with Scalar i500 14U or larger systems only, it includes a Scalar i500 Fibre Channel I/O Blade when required (every fourth tape drive added)as well as Q-EKM software and a license key. Q-EKM drives must be in a separate partition from non-Q-EKM drives. Q-EKM Integration Service is also required to install and configure the Q-EKM application. Warranty/service level of Q-EKM must match the service length and level of the library.
