This IBM LTO-4 4Gb Storage Networking Q-EKM-Enabled Tape Drive Module Factory Installation for the Scalar i2000 is Q-EKM-Enabled. This drive includes the Scalar i2000 Fibre Channel I/O Blade when required (every fourth tape drive added), Q-EKM software and a license key. Q-EKM drives must be in a separate partition from non-Q-EKM drives. Q-EKM Integration Service is also required to install and configure the Q-EKM application. Warranty/service level of Q-EKM must match the service length and level of the library.
