    NetSight is a business solution that enables organizations to take full advantage of the enhanced features and functionality of Enterasys Secure Networks policy architecture. And because NetSight manages all the infrastructure components as a total system, you can use its features to view your infrastructure as a cohesive whole rather than as a disparate set of hardware.

    NetSight Console 2.0 is the command and control console from which all NetSight management applications are launched, and can be launched by itself or in conjunction with the other NetSight management applications. The distributed Client/Server architecture enables users to log in to the NetSight Server from anywhere on the network.

    Designed to manage, monitor, and configure an Enterasys network as a holistic system, NetSight improves network visibility and simplifies operation and management, making the network a less complex, utilitylike service aligned to meet the needs of business. In addition, NetSight system-level approach effectively bridges the functionality gap between complex network management systems and traditional single element manager applications.

    A system level management tool, NetSight's inherent flexibility helps each enterprise meet the unique demand of its own business. “Plug-In” applications (sold separately) can be integrated into the NetSight Server, enabling organizations to take advantage of advanced features. Applications include NetSight Policy Manager, NetSight Automated Security Manager, NetSight Inventory Manager, and NetSight Router Services Manager. For added flexibility, NetSight has been designed to work with network management platforms such as HP OpenView.
