The RocketPort Serial board, from Comtrol, makes your serial communications simple, powerful and reliable. It's ideal for high-level remote LAN access and Internet access applications using high-speed modems or ISDN terminal adapters. The ISA card has a dedicated 36MHz Application Specific Integrated Circuits (ASIC) processor for optimum throughput and minimal performance degradation. It connects right to ISA bus systems.

This card has sixteen ports and does not include the interface. This allows you the option of using RocketPort Boards, or RocketPort Cables, etc. It is specifically designed to handle asynchronous serial communications. It does not use shared memory, and has a large transmit/receive FIFO (First In Fist Out queue) to maximize performance and eliminate bottlenecks. It is also I/O Mapped to eliminate memory conflicts. The board comes with the industry's best software drivers for all popular Operating Systems and RKTMON - a port monitoring program that runs with Windows NT or Windows 95.
