Black Box has doubled the speed of its top-selling converter to keep up with today’s PCs. With this RS-232/485/422 bi-directional converter, you can transmit data up to 4000 feet over two- or four-wire lines in full or half-duplex turnaround delay. Use this converter with PCs and other RS-232 equipment that have the 16550 UART for transmission speeds up to 115.2 kbps. The converter offers a line bias feature that prevents it from receiving line noise as send or receive signals. Switch settings let you customize the converter to your specific application. Improved surge suppression keeps your converter safe from induced surges on the RS-485 side. A fast Data Enable Mode (up to 64 kbps) means you won’t lose data when you transmit in Data Enable.
