Tandberg's 100GB SLR100 Ext. Ultra2 LVD/SE tape drive offers 100GB storage capacity and a variable data transfer rate of up to 36GB/hr. You'll see average file access times of 58 seconds and a media load time of less than 30 seconds. The drive's soft-load mechanism prevents unauthorized access to your system and allows you to integrate the drive into SLR automation products with storage capacities of up to 4TB.

The SLR100 incorporates Variable Rate Randomizer technology (Overland Data's VR2), which significantly increases the native capacity and data transfer rate of linear tape technologies without requiring any changes in tape path design, recording heads and/or media. The SLR100's auto-sensing capabilities allow it to adjust to the speed of the host bus for optimal system performance. Furthermore, the drive's in-line compression feature enables hardware to be compressed before it enters the 8MB buffer, thereby freeing valuable storage capacity. Additionally, the combined support of the SCSI Ultra2 Wide LVD/SE interface allows for this drive's maximum performance when connected to either a Ultra 2 Wide single-ended or LVD bus.

The 100GB SLR100 Ext. Ultra2 LVD/SE tape driver offers broad support for most platform, operating system and 3rd party tape applications; it's compatible with almost every system available today and utilizes highly recognized Linear Recording Technology. With a standard 5.25 inch half-height form factor, the SLR100 can be installed, connected and operating in no time at all.
