1 x 8 KVM Console Switch Rack Mountable - 17353LX

This is an IBM 8-port, CAT5 console switch for single-user local management. The IBM 1x8 Console Switch lets you inexpensively cable, monitor, and manage your rack servers. This switch supports System x servers with PS/2 or USB KVM ports and up to 128 servers through chaining. It is installed outside the server with no adapter card required and is easy to implement. Designed for rapid deployment, it requires no PCI slot and does not require you to open server to install the switch or rerun wiring if the server is taken off line. Management software is powered by intuitive On Screen Displays (OSDs), which makes management and setup extremely easy.

The switch has been tested with IBM racks and System x products to ensure proper functionality and can be mounted in one of the following rack cabinets: IBM 42U S2 Rack, NetBAY42 Enterprise Rack, IBM 25U S2 Rack, NetBAY11 Standard Rack.
