The MasterConsole MX4 from Raritan enables up to four simultaneous users to access and operate mutlitple computers. Up to 8 computers can be connected to the unit or it can be cascaded to provide four users complete control of up to 64 computers. If you need more, you can cascade other MX4 models for multi-user control of up to 256 computers. Computers, user consoles, and cascaded units can be located up to 325 feet apart. Its high-resolution video and advanced on-screen user interface with multi-level security makes MX4 operation s simple and secure; and the innovative design makes the MX4 easy to install and manage.

The MX4 will eliminate the cost and clutter of unnecessary equipment, reclaim space and improve operational productivity for a host of applications, such as: multi-user, multi-point management of multiple servers; access to a pool of CPUs (workstations) from multiple user stations; computer help desk and customer service operation; and hardware/software development testing and systems integration. Raritan's unique emulation technology, which dedicates an individual processor to each channel, means smooth, flawless switching and operation of any mix of computers running the most demanding operating systems. Just connect computers, plug in one to four user consoles and operate. With MasterConsole MX4, you have the flexibility to organize and manage your computers for maximum operational productivity.

Systems Administration menus provide for assigning meaningful names to each connected computer and maintaining the list of names of authorized users. also, if desired, you can assign security classifications and access rights to each user and computer. Each user's on-screen menu shows which computers are available for selection. When selected, the computer's name and channel ID are displayed on the screen for positive identification and that computer is now unavailable to the other three users
