This Maxell 40/80GB DLT IV tape offers transfer rates up to 12MB/s and a clear plastic case for easy barcode scanning. Maxell DLT media is rated at 500,000 tape passes even under the worst case temperature and humidity conditions thanks to Maxell's patented ceramic-coated metal particles. A minimum head life of 15,000 hours can be expected due to Maxell's ultra-smooth coating process. With sophisticated error detection and correction, absolute data integrity is achieved using Maxell media. It is ideal for Hierarchical Storage Management applications, backing up LAN servers, workstations and midrange systems in addition to DVD mastering.
