The Spectra 12000 Library provides a combination of high reliability, speed, large capacity, ease of use, and built-in redundancy to minimize or eliminate downtime. This model can accommodate up to eight AIT-2 or -3, or Mammoth -2 or -3 drives and up to 120 data cartridges, for a native storage capacity of 12TB (31.2TB with 2.6:1 compression) using AIT-3 cartridges and drives, and 18TB (native) or 36TB (compressed) using Mammoth-3 cartridges and drives. Two AIT-3 drives provide a native data transfer rate of 86.4GB/hr. (224.6GB/hr. compressed), while a fully configured Spectra 12000 can move data at up 345.6GB/hr (898.5GB/hr. compressed). Performance from Mammoth-3 drives is even more impressive, at 324GB/hr. for a two-drive setup and 1296GB/hr. fully configured. And you'll get peace of mind with its reliable robotics, with greater than 2,000,000 mean cycles between failure.
