The Compaq SDLT 110/220 tape drive is the first product in the SDLT family that offers increased capacity and performance over DLT drives, yet with backward read compatibility with DLT Type IV media.

The SDLT 110/220 is a tape drive used for data protection in high duty cycle environments, such as corporate-to-enterprise servers, which require higher performance, greater capacity and enterprise-class reliability. The SDLT platform is designed for industrial-strength reliability and data integrity for non-stop computing. This internal model is confogured with one SDLT drive with a native storage capacity of 110GB (220GB with 2:1 compression), a native sustained transfer rate of 39.6GB/hr. (79.2GB/hr. compressed), an 80MB/s burst transfer rate and a 32MB buffer. It offers a MBTF mean time between failure) rating of 250,000 power-on hours and a drive head life of 30,000 hours. Another feature that will have you resting easier is the Disaster Recovery Tape, which insures that in case of a system failure, you will be able to restore your system from a single tape. drive LED indicators show ready, write protect and error notification. It comes with a switchable SE/LVD interface and a three-year parts warranty.
