The AT-MC1X series of media converters is designed to convert 10BaseT to 10BaseFL quickly, reliably and cost-effectively. This unit has (1) RJ-45 port for 10BaseT and (1) ST connector for 10BaseFL. Installation of fiber-optic cables delivers longer cable distances, security features and increased bandwidth. This media converter includes a feature called "MissingLink," which gives the host (router, server, switch) attached to each end of the converter critical information about the status of the other segment link. If either link fails, the converter interacts with both hosts, making each instantly aware of the link fault.

The converter has a fiber test switch allowing you to test the fiber connection between each converter. It features Plug and Play installation and a compact chassis design. The module also features an MDI/MDIX crossover switch allowing the unit to connect directly to either a PC, switch or hub. The unit has six status LEDs on the front and employs the latest IC designs and Surface Mount Technology (SMT) to provide highly reliable, yet inexpensive solutions to network media conversion.
