The new SureStore Optical 9100mx drive allows you to handle large amounts of data easily, quickly and reliably. This drive spins at 3000rpm, reads and writes to 9.1, 5.2 and 2.6GB cartridges, and reads 1.3GB and 650MB cartridges. It features an average seek time of 25ms, a short seek time (across 2.2MB) of 6ms and a 4MB buffer. Its maximum sustained read transfer rate is 6.1MB/s, 3.1MB/s for the maximum sustained write transfer rate, and it offers a 10MB/s burst transfer rate. If reliability is a concern, the 9100mx has a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) rating of 100,000 hours.
