The EtherFast 10/100 16-port Desktop Switch will dramatically improve your 10BaseT network's data traffic efficiency. Connected to your file server, the switch's (16) auto-sensing RJ-45 ports will speed up access time for everyone on your network, instantly, while conserving desktop space.

Each of the switch's 10/100 ports operates in half- and full-duplex modes, running at 10Mbps, 20Mbps, 100Mbps or up to 200Mbps in full-duplex mode. The ports feature NWay auto-negotiation technology to enable automatic detection and selection of cabling type, speed and duplex mode. The EtherFast 10/100 Desktop Switch's advanced store-and-forward packet switching ensures optimal data transfer; its auto-partitioning feature will protect your PCs from downed network lines. The switch also supports signal regeneration to ensure data integrity, while data-collision control and incoming frame retiming ensure that none of your data will be lost, even during the most intense network traffic.

The EtherFast 10/100 Desktop Switch is compatible with virtually all major operating systems, including Windows 95, 98, 2000, NT and Millennium. For growing networks, a built-in uplink port is provided for easy expansion.
