It is compatible with either SAS or SATA 3.5" hard drives, and it includes a hot-swap backplane with pass-through capabilities for either onboard SATA ports or a SAS/SATA add-in card, an enclosure management cable, and 3 SAS/SATA cables (pre-kitted and length matched to Intel Server Board S5000PAL/S5000XAL on-board SATA ports).
