The HTS3600 MKII has a total of 10 AC outlets and protection for 3 coax connections (1 satellite, 2 non-satellite) and 1 phone connection. Monsters MP-HTS3600 MKII features Monsters Proprietary Clean Power Stage 3 Filtering Version 2.1, designed by world-renowned power expert Richard Marsh. This version includes the proprietary T2 automatic disconnect / reconnect circuitry. Polluted AC power can cause problems such as loss of depth, imaging, video resolution, audio clarity. 6 of the AC outlets in the HTS3600 MKII are unswitched for components that required constant power. 2 of the outlets are switched. The last 2 outlets on the back are switched/timed for sequenced power turn-on. The HTS3600 MKII can be connected to a receiver or pre-amp, and be turned on when those units are turned on. This can be done via AC or DC connections, but no DC cord is included.
The HTS-3600 MKII has 4 discrete filter sections: 1 digital (4 outlets), one high current audio (2 outlets), 1 video (2 outlets), and 1 analog audio (2 outlets). This prevents analog equipment from sharing a common ground with digital components, which can produce broadband noise. The HTS3600 MKII has 3 coax connectors which allow you to connect 1 satellite, and 2 non-satellite devices such as antenna, or downline TV. The F connectors are gold plated. The phone connector has a built in splitter, and an anti-collision feature. Jumper cables are included. The phone surge protection is via a gas-tube arrester. On the back of the HTS3600 MKII is a 12V DC input trigger that can be used for turning the unit on and off. There is also a 15A circuit breaker, and a ground lug. The front of the HTS3600 MKII has a selectable dimmer controlled digital voltmeter, it can show incoming volts or amps drawn. It also has a power switch (of course). LED lights are provided for system status, the lights are for timed on, switched on, unswitched on, power protected, and system grounded.
