4 Gb/s Fibre Channel host connectivity and a high-speed point-to-point SAS backbone provides ULTAMUS RAID the foundation to produce the screaming performance expected from a storage array of such caliber. The support for Enterprise SATA-II drives not only provides the reliability needed for critical data storage, but also awards enterprise class performance to large capacity enclosures with a 3 Gb/sec interface. Performance scales beyond just a single enclosure with the utilization of SAS "wideports" that allow dynamic scalability up to 96 drives with zero impact on performance.
