VTrak VTE610fD E-Class 4Gb Fibre Channel SATA/SAS RAID Dual Controller Storage System

This is the VTrak VTE610fD. It is a 3U/16-Bay dual controller SAS/SATA storage array. It holds up to sixteen 3.5" x 1" SAS or SATA 3Gb/s hard drives. Each module has four 3GB SAS x4 host interface ports per controller. Also, attach up to four SAS JBODS to deliver 80 drive bays of direct attached storage.

The enterprise-class, cable-less system includes fully redundant, hot swappable controllers, power and cooling units. Dual active-active, failover/failback RAID controllers provide redundant data paths to further help ensure availability. RAID 6 (double parity) offers the highest level of reliability and data protection. As the capicity or storage arrays increases, so does the risk of encountering uncoverable read erros with single parity RAID levels. RAID 6 handles double drive failures, providing greater protection against data loss.
