HP 2x16 Server Console Switch with Virtual Media - AF600A

The new HP Console Switches with Virtual Media ease the management of your datacenter.

The HP IP Console Switches with Virtual Media provide both local and remote access to a variety of devices from inside and outside the datacenter and require no software be installed on the target servers. Now administrators can not only remotely access KVM functions for day to day management but can also map a drive on their workstation to target servers to perform application and OS upgrades, firmware upgrades, or even installations. Multiple levels of encryption and authentication via LDAP insure enterprise-wide security.

The HP Server Console Switch with Virtual Media provides local access to attached devices at the rack level. The switchable USB pass-through allows connection of USB devices for performing software upgrades or installations.

These Console Switches use HP's proven Cat5 and intelligent Interface Adapters to improve cabling and airflow, and allow for cascading up to three levels.
