With its revolutionary wireless technology, the LevelOne WBR-5400 MIMO (Multi-Input, Multi-Output) wireless broadband router allows you to utilize the very superior wireless connection.

Based on proven technology, the WBR-5400 is backward compatible with IEEE 802.11g and IEEE 802.11b for faster data transfer rates. There is no need to replace your existing wireless device to realize the advantages of MIMO technology thus protecting your original investment. The WBR-5400 also works seamless with legacy wireless devices with increased performances rates of up to 50%.

In order to create a solid wireless connection, LevelOne WBR-5400 consistently and quickly boosts your WLAN throughput to meet the requirement for streaming video, VoIP application, gaming and large files sharing. Wireless throughput drops rapidly the greater the distance between signal sender and receiver and also varies in quality depending on construction materials between the two devices. Upon evaluation, the wireless throughput for the WBR-5400 after penetrating three walls still reached 27Mbps, better than other MIMO products.

Featuring the latest MIMO XR technology, the WBR-5400 is equipped with multiple antennas to receive more than one signal simultaneously. If any of these signals should be blocked, the WBR-5400 then keeps processing signals received from other antennas to maintain network connectivity therefore seriously reducing dead spots and extending your range.

The WBR-5400 provides uncompromised security protection. This device supports not only NAT firewall with SPI mode to protect the network against DoS attacks but also featured IPSec, PPTP, L2TP VPN pass-through to prevent unwanted access by potential hackers. The choice of 64/128-bit WEP encryption, WPA, WPA2 locks out unauthorized wireless access while AES/TKIP encryption secures wireless traffic data integrity. Furthermore, this device prevents unexpected access by providing IEEE802.1x user authentication mechanism for sensitive data transmission.
